SO EXCITED! This news is making me pick up Justice League for the first time. And I hope that since Deathstroke sales have stabilized, you’ll be on that title as well for another year! (Also, Inhumans is continuing to be awesome!)

  2. Ian Miller says:

Now that the article is working, I am even more excited. The description of the plans for the stories and characters, and especially Pete Woods’ art is gorgeous. Seeing Simon go from praying to Lantern is a really great visual contrast, and the scope of the problem he sees is gorgeous.

  3. Alex says:

That makes it sound like you’ll be on for more than one issue. Awesome!

  4. E-Man says:

Congratulations! I’ve read in your blog for years about how you never got to write the big named characters in comics, and it’s long past the time that someone gave you your due. I’ll definitely support this one, and I am looking forward to your run.

  5. Kudos, Priest! Always wanted to see you get one of the high-profile gigs at the major publishers again. This is cool!

I’d like to see the “Super Friends” lineup of the major mainstream known characters that we know and love, as well as teams of super-villains that we know and loathe, lol.
My ideal core would be Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, John Stewart, Vixen, Hawkgirl and Aquaman. On a per-arc basis, I’d also bring in folks like Green Arrow, Plastic Man, Mr. Terrific, Batgirl, Supergirl, and more.

I see no reason to settle on a single base. They can have a watchtower, a satellite, a cave, and a Hall of Justice!

Outer space, distant times, ancient kingdoms, alternate dimensions, there should be no limits to where the Justice League team can go for their adventures!

The team should have some cool vehicles since not everyone flies on their own power. That would be neat to see. I’d also like to see how their communications works when J’onn J’onzz is not in the mix with his telepathy.

You deserve to write Fantastic Four as well! The original team needs to return! That would be glorious!

Looking forward to it. Hope the schedule/experience is good to the team.

  7. Devon B says:

Will be the first time I’ve ever picked up a Justice League comic. Congrats!

  8. KenMo says:

Congratulations Rev, you been deserved this. Shame on DC for waiting almost 30 years to show respect where it is due. You’re already writing one of the best comics right now with Deathstroke, now you get to show them what they been missing.

  9. BigShadow says:

this looks awesome hope u have a good long successful run an hope u bring in supervillains like Kanjar Ro Starbreaker an Vandal Savage an hope there will be new leaguers some old members rejoining hint hint Martian Manhunter hint

  10. Jack says:

Congrats, I noticed that you are also credited for a Christmas story in December, any hint as to which character(s) you’re writing?

  11. Trev Trev says:

Never been interested in The Justice League. I am now. Nuff said.

  12. BigShadow says:

do u plan to use ARGUS more in Justice League even have the League recruit ARGUS metas like Black Orchid or Metamerican?

  13. Sam says:

Congratulations and best of luck Mr. Priest! I will be checking out your take on the Justice League and what you decide to have them face (& what dangers a sleep deprived Batman can do)!. As well as your story in the Holiday Special!

  14. Ian Miller says:

New threads for new comics coming soon? The fan reaction to Terra in this week’s issue is pretty polarized, I think. I personally think it’s perfectly logical, but some people seem to think that Slade is some kind of noble dude who would never do such things.

    • BigShadow says:

he has a sense of honor but it may make seem sympathetic an all the more despicable like Sportsmaster from Young Justice

      • Ian Miller says:

I think he has some lines, but “sleeping with a woman young enough to be his daughter” is one we’ve already seen him cross with Etienne.

        • BigShadow says:

I did say it makes him more despicable in that case he was trying to protect Jericho from her cause she was a H.I.V.E. Agent an he already lose Grant to them an he did it in a really messed up way

  15. BigShadow says:

If Priest is bringing in The Society will he use them in Justice League? An will Vandal Savage be a member?

I haven’t read any JL since probably the Waid/Hitch stuff but the news that you were going to be writing made me SO excited. Also really like Pete Wood’s art, the only team that could be more perfect is you with Phil Noto….wait….
